Glen River Donegal

The Client
Martin Doherty in South Donegal, designs and makes his own knitwear. Then he sells it at Sliabh Liag or Slieve League, to tourists from all over the world.

The Problem
COVID 19 means no foreign tourists, which means Martin needed to get online with a catalogue, a shop as such. Even though this is a very competitive category online.

The Brief
This site needed a bit of custom design, by Chris, then developed and delivered in early 2021. The shop needed to be populated, configured and working well for the tourist season. The budget had to be adhered to 100%. Photography would be provided by Martins photographer.

The Approach
After our initial Discovery meetings with Martin, we moved straight to a wireframe and to custom design and designer Chris came up with a good design. Then we built a business website on a WordPress platform using the Divi theme. And we added a suitable eCommerce WooCommerce plugin and configured it for Martin to use

The Results for Glen River Knitwear
The site launched in late early 2021, on time and on budget. Martin is already getting enquiries and sales. Even though this is a very competitive sector online. The new website is a good platform for Martin to build on and use when discussing products with customers.
