NCCWN – The National Collective of Community Based Women’s Networks

The Client
NCCWN – The National Collective of Community Based Women’s Networks – with a new webmaster at the helm and the full support of the committee, it was time to upgrade the website platform. The NCCWN wanted to improve the look and the functionality of their website.

The Problem
The old WordPress website was hard to edit and had a poor dated design theme. It was clunky, poorly laid out and hard to make sense of at all. There was very little the new webmaster could do to make this look well.

The Brief
Create a new Wordpress platform that could be used with relative ease and make it look well.  Give it a good layout and train the new webmaster. Make it mobile friendly, responsive, and easy to navigate on a small screen, because that is what the Community uses.

The Approach
After our initial Zoom meetings with the Webmaster, we created a wireframe or layout for approval and a very basic brief. We got full support from the Committee, as well as the webmaster, who has experience in WordPress. Then we built a new website on a WordPress platform using the Divi theme and added content from the old website. Very straight forward project, with a competent webmaster and supportive committee, all determined to make the NCCWN look professional online.

The Results for NCCWN
The site launched in early 2020. The client is very happy and the website is getting great reviews. And the whole Community can benefit from all the tips and guides that are provided via the News Blog by the Webmaster. Now the NCCWN look very professional online.
