The Client
Paul Carr at S MacRory & Co a well established Accountancy firm in Letterkenny Co Donegal. Maire was the appointed project manager.
The Problem
The old site dated back to 2015, was built on Adobe Catalyst and needed to be replaced before mid 2021. The content was outdated. The site was slow to load and not mobile responsive
The Brief
This client wanted to launch a new service Cloud Accounting with a new domain Smart Accounting Ireland, so they registered a .ie name to indicate their intention to serve an Irish market. Once launched they wanted to repoint the old website and delete it. However we had to maintain any Google juice or history which was deemed valuable.
The Approach
After our initial Discovery meetings with Paul, we moved straight to a wireframe and to a design theme with a few small revisions. Then we built a business website on a WordPress platform using the Divi theme. And we added a suitable Blog plugin for the team to use. Plus a Client login for online accounting clients.
The Results for Macrory & Co
The site launched in late 2020. It is already ranking on page one in Google search for many of its target key terms. Maire is well able to edit the website. The client is working away at adding content, however they are already very busy.
