The Digital for Business programme, run by your Local Enterprise Office (LEO), offers Irish SMEs a free, one to one digital consultancy session with an experienced, qualified digital advisor.
Your business will get a personalised review of how it operates and a report with tailored recommendations for

What happens during the consultancy?
A registered Digital for Business Consultant will

- Meet with you (virtually or in person) to understand how your business runs.
- Identify digital tools or systems that could help you such as:
- Time tracking or productivity tools
- Project management software
- Cloud based accounting or proposal apps
- CRM Customer Relationship Management systems or lead management platforms
- AI tools
- Provide a full report with clear recommendations tailored to your specific needs.

If you decide to take the recommendations and invest in tools to digitise your business, you can apply for the Grow Digital Voucher. This offers up to €5000 in funding. It covers any SaaS ‘Software as a Service’ tool you need such as online accounting, time recording or management, stock management, proposal creation etc.

The Market Explorer Grant is open to small enterprises (with between 1 and 50 paid employees) that Operate as Manufacturing or eligible internationally traded services businesses and are solvent.

Business Expansion Grant
The Business Expansion grant is designed to assist the business in its growth phase after the initial 18 month start-up period.
Business Expansion grants may be awarded to sole traders, partnerships or limited companies that fulfil the following criteria:
The enterprise must not employ more than 10 people; In some cases, depending on certain criteria, businesses with 10 employees or more may be eligible, please contact Local Enterprise Office Donegal for more information on eligibility;
The enterprise must be in the added-value manufacturing or services with the potential to trade internationally sectors.
The enterprise must be established, registered and operate within County Donegal;
The enterprise must operate in the commercial sphere;
The enterprise must demonstrate a market for the product/service;
The enterprise must have potential for growth in domestic and/or export markets and also potential for new job creation.
The maximum Business Expansion Grant payable shall be 50% of the investment or €150,000 whichever is the lesser.
Expenditure may be considered under the following headings:
Capital items
Salary costs
Consultancy/Innovation/Marketing costs
